Spring is a time for renewal, and what better way to welcome the season than by giving your home a good spring cleaning? As the weather warms up, it's the perfect time to get rid of clutter and freshen up your living space. Here are five spring cleaning tips to make your house look great for spring.

Declutter and organize your space.

One of the easiest ways to give your home a fresh start is by decluttering and organizing your space. Start by going through each room and getting rid of anything that you no longer need or use. This can include clothes, books, and even furniture. Once you've decluttered, organize your space by finding a place for everything. Use storage bins, shelves, and other organizational tools to keep your space tidy.

Deep clean your floors.

Winter can take a toll on your floors, leaving them looking dull and dirty. Give your floors a deep clean by vacuuming and mopping them thoroughly. If you have carpet, consider renting a carpet cleaner or hiring a professional to give it a deep clean. For hardwood floors, use a cleaner that's safe for your specific type of flooring.

Refresh your walls and windows.

Another way to freshen up your home for spring is by giving your walls and windows a little TLC. Start by dusting your blinds and washing your windows to let in more natural light. Then, give your walls a fresh coat of paint or touch up any scuff marks or damage. A fresh coat of paint can instantly brighten up a room and make it feel brand new.

Clean and organize your kitchen.

The kitchen is often the heart of the home, but it can also be one of the messiest rooms. Take some time to clean and organize your kitchen by decluttering your cabinets and drawers, wiping down your appliances, and scrubbing your sink and countertops. You can also take this opportunity to donate any unused kitchen appliances or tools to a local charity.

Freshen up your bedding and linens.

Last but not least, freshen up your bedding and linens to give your bedroom a new look for spring. Swap out your heavy comforter for a lighter duvet or quilt, and add some new pillows or throws to give your space a pop of color. Don't forget to wash your sheets, pillowcases, and towels to get rid of any winter grime.

In conclusion, spring cleaning doesn't have to be overwhelming. By following these simple tips, you can make your home look and feel brand new for the season. Declutter and organize your space, deep clean your floors, refresh your walls and windows, clean and organize your kitchen, and freshen up your bedding and linens. Happy spring cleaning!

Grow Green with MHK

One of the most popular days in April may be April Fools Day, but for those who have lived in the Flint Hills for very long, they will tell you their favorite day in April is actually Grow Green Match Day! An annual event hosted by the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, Grow Green Match Day is an opportunity for community members to donate to their favorite non-profit organization(s) - each donation is matched at 50%, thus 'growing' each and every donation. This year's event will be held on Friday, April 21st and over 90+ non-profits are participating.

Your Manhattan KS Coldwell Banker Office Updates

Growth comes with a lot of change. Over the last couple years, we had outgrown our conference room and table. Nonetheless, the Partners decided to donate it to someone who could get better use out of it and use this space for something different.

You are now looking at the doors to our new agent space. Behind the doors is a multi-desk collaborative space for the agents to bounce ideas off of each other, collaborate, and learn.

We hired Katalyst Sign & Grafix to create some privacy for the agents. We are loving the new addition to the office!
